Using the Fulfillment Scanner

Process returns and fulfillment with the barcode/QR scanner feature.

What Is the Fulfillment Scanner?

The fulfillment scanner is an optional add-on that helps you:

  • Scan return labels to process returns faster
  • Track received items
  • Automatically update ticket and return status
  • Reduce manual data entry

Accessing the Scanner

  1. Go to Fulfillment in the main navigation
  2. Grant camera permissions when prompted
  3. Point your camera at a barcode or QR code

Scanning Return Labels

  1. Open the Fulfillment Scanner
  2. Scan the return shipping label
  3. SDesk matches it to the return request
  4. Review the return details
  5. Mark as received

What Gets Updated

When you scan and process a return:

  • Return status updates in Shopify
  • Related ticket is updated
  • Task is marked complete (if applicable)
  • Customer can be auto-notified

Scanner Settings

  • Auto-close tickets: Automatically close ticket when return is processed
  • Notification: Send customer update when item is received
  • Sound feedback: Beep on successful scan

Troubleshooting

Camera not working?

  • Check browser camera permissions
  • Try a different browser
  • Ensure good lighting

Barcode not recognized?

  • Hold camera steady
  • Ensure barcode is flat and undamaged
  • Try manual entry as backup
